I don’t know of any new designer who has had such a smashing first collection as Rachel Zoe. Even more commendable, it’s not just her clothing line, or the shoes or bags, no, every single aspect of her fashion house has been amazing and flown off the shelves. Even her pieces that I wouldn’t personally wear, I still admire their style and craftsmanship.
This dress (above) is dubbed Yvonne and I would literally wear it every occasion where it was fitting. The wrap design is flattering on every figure and while all-over sequins can sometimes add pounds, she counters this with the color choice, slimming black. It’s this type of dress when you know the designer was a woman. She designs for all body types knowing what makes a normal sized woman look fat. No super low cut waistlines that only an anorexic could pull off. The cream colored dress below, Nico, has a high waist line and a flared skirt with a cute little bow, a perfect design for those of us who actually eat at events and might get a little pooch. Then there’s the asymmetrical Elizabeth dress with the black lining creating the illusion of a slimmer waist.
Being her first collection her price points are in the mid range area, but after the demand from her debut I fear they will rise. Hopefully I’m wrong. Rachel Zoe dresses are here

No one does figure flattering dresses like Herve Leger. Using materials traditionally associated with foundation garments to create dresses that would mold and shape the wearer’s figure with its signature bandage-like strips have made his pieces coveted. No other dress flatters a womans figure like a Herve Leger bandage dress, and you don’t have to be stick thin to look good in one. Curvy girls like Kim Kardashian rock them on the red carpet and look fantastick.
His Fall 2011 collection contains a few dresses designed for the holidays. Sequins dominate like no other time of the year, so why not shimmer and shine in the world’s most figure flattering dress. Price point may be a sticking point for some, but his success proves women will pay anything to look good. Shop here for Herve Leger dresses

Walking through a L.A. area pumpkin patch, model and mother Alessandra Ambrosia sported a casual chic look. I’m loving the red jeans, but also the crisp button down and the ballet flats. The outfit is rounded out by the python Chanel shoulder bag.
